What this service solves

Medication support is not one-size-fits-all.

A missed reminder, a hard-to-open container and medication administration are different needs. Oregon treats medication reminding, medication assistance and medication administration as distinct services, with different requirements.

AAA In Home Care starts by understanding whether the client can direct their own medication routine, what help is actually needed and what orders or nursing oversight apply. That distinction protects the client and keeps the plan clear for families and caregivers.

What is the difference between medication reminding, assistance and administration?

How much does medication support cost?

AAA In Home Care publishes a self-pay rate of $50 per hour for medication administration. Because reminding, assistance and administration are different services, your assessment and written service plan determine the final scope and price.

Can an in-home caregiver give injections?

Some injectable medication tasks may be provided only when Oregon’s nurse-delegation and agency requirements are met. AAA In Home Care reviews the specific medication, orders and client needs before confirming whether the task can be included.
